Felt Playhouse

After a two week vacation/crafting hiatus, I have been slaving away for weeks on Sora's birthday present. No other crafting was done, so there was nothing to blog about. Upsetting, I know, but it is worth the wait.

The finished house measures 4.5' x 4' tall and sits atop a PVC pipe frame. It is also anchored to the ceiling for additional support. The outside was heavily influenced by this playhouse from Homemade by Jill, and the inside was mostly my own design. 

Some of the finishing touches are a little hard to see: removable apples and an owl on the tree, flowers to "pick" outside and place in the vase inside, corn and veggies in the garden to "pick", books that come out of the vinyl pockets in the library inside, and velcro pictures over the mantle so that Sora can personalize her pad.

Insert one happy birthday girl, and you're all set!
