Embroidery Love

I have been secretly embroidering a lot lately! I have been appliqueing and adding small details to the hats and some other items I've made recently. The biggest embroidery project is still in the making, and it also happens to be a holiday present, so it is still top secret.

Here is a sneak peek of two different, but very similar, projects.

Half the fun of embroidery for me is trying all of the different stitches and seeing which ones are best for which applications. It looks like the back stitch is better for names than the split stitch, but each has a fun look. Once the holiday is over, the complete project and tutorial will be revealed.
